A typical day in a life of a social worker may look like a staff meeting, meetings with clients in an office, a client's home, hospital. He will deal all day long with people who have problems and see them live different emotions like fear and beset.

To finish, in ten years, the social workers are removed from their day-to-day counselling to earn managerial or senior case-officer. Certain professionnals quit after this because they don't do counselling anymore.

In conclusion, I am not studying to become a social worker, but I am studying in a related field of study: the special care counselling. It is similar because the special care counselor is also there to help people, but the difference is that there are tasks that I can't do as a special care counselor and the study path is different.
